Wow, it’s already been more than one year sine the last entry on this blog, but today I finally managed to to pluck up the courage to write a news entry, ya. I‘m almost sorry for being so lazy with updating this site. Anyway, Boredom is still around and we‘re working on new songs which hopefully will be released in the beginning of the next year! We‘re also planning to play a larger tour then again. Actually we‘re thinking about releasing the songs as a split with another band. As soon as things are confirmed or there is a rough schedule about when the release is gonna happen we will post it on this site! We played a couple of festivals and single shows this spring/early summer and always had a good time in doing so. Thanks to all the friends who invited us, the bands we played together and all the people that took care of us. Some major things also changed in the band since the last enry last year. At some point last year Vera decided to leave the band as she had to focus on other things and our friend Yoschi became our new bass player in the band. It has already been about one year now since we played the first shows with him. Also Marian played his last two shows with Boredom on the Tragedy shows this year in June in Graz and Linz. Since then Domsch became our new drummer and already played the last couple of shows with us. I‘m stuck in Berlin since about one year, Yoschi and Domsch are bobbin around somewhere in Vienna and Linz and Franz and Chris are hanging out in Graz most of the time, so we‘re all spread pretty far from each other. Apart from that we all got to work, read and drink quite a lot or are busy with studies and other band projects based in different cities. All that makes it a bit more difficult to practise or play single shows and is possibly the main reason why we play less than the years before at the moment. But as already written before, we‘re still active and working on new material and we will do our best to play at least some tours next year and are also always motivated for playing a couple of weekend shows in a row or festivals. I‘ll try my best to keep this blog more up to date and will rework some things on this site soon. Hope you‘re able to enjoy the rest of the summer without too much work or finally getting arrested too and hope to see all of you punks in healthy condition soon again! Thanks for listening, cheers.

Three weeks already went by again since we came back from the Greece tour. I‘ll try to keep the retrospect short now, as I started to write a small diary of the time we spent in Greece, which I‘ll post on our blog when I‘m back in Graz again. I think it got a bit too long to post it here in the news section and apparently I forgot it on my computer in Graz when I left for Berlin. Anyway, all I want to say now is that all the shows were great again, we got treated amazingly good again, whe had great fun and spent an awesome and also exciting time with our best friends there again, you‘re the best and we love you! Jack also came from Athens to Graz last week to finish the Despite Everything recordings there and scatterbrain as I am, I totally forgot the excact date and was driving to Berlin just when he arrived in Graz, argh…that’s a pity. Hope you had fun and alcohol in Graz though! Ok, more details and stories about the Greece tour will be online to read soonish.

After we came back from Greece Phillip got the testpressings of the new LP send to Cologne and according to him everything sounded fine, so he gave the pressing plant the conformation to start producing it. Unforunately we‘re not able to play a release show before we‘re going on tour in April as the pressing plant just told us the LPs will be delayed a bit, but we will bring them with us for the shows in April. We also will try to play a release show in our hometown in Graz after we will be back from the European tour. As soon as anything is confirmed we‘ll post it here. All the songs of the new record are already online at Bandcamp as streams to take a pre listen. It’s also already possible to pre-order the record at Contraszt!Records if you‘re interested. Altogether it’s nine new songs and this is what the LP looks and sounds like:

1. Anxiety Disorders
2. Connoisseur Of Art
3. The One-Handed Parasite
4. Untitled
5. Crisis Stimulus
6. Intro
7. Fair Trade Caffeine
8. Plain Vanilla
9. Alea Iacta Est

The pressing will include a bit more than 500 pieces on black 180g Vinyl. This time we did the whole recording in our practise space in Graz by our own, the mix and master again is done by Robin and it got released by Contraszt!Records in Germany, Halvfabrikat Records in Sweden, Rope or Guilltone Records in Holland, Panda Banda Records in Slovenia, Dream Comes True Records in France, Destroy It Yourself Records in Portugal and WinHtein Records in the UK. The lyrics can also be found either on bandcamp or in the lyrics section. Thanks once more to Phillip who mainly released the record and handeld the whole process of getting it finally done, thanks a lot too to all our other friends who are running diy labels spread all over Europe and supported us again! Believe me, running a diy label means a lot of effort, time, passion and also money to put in or even to loose and bands like us wouldn‘t be possible to do things like this without all your help and idealism concerning diy and punk music and we really appreciate that! If you live in one of those countries we would highly recommend to check out the activities of those labels and to support them by going on shows or buying records if you‘re able to. Thanks!

This is also a call for solidarity with the Punks from Villa Amalias and with every other squatted and self organized diy space, as well as with all the struggeling people in Greece and everywhere else!
